IN THE WORKS (Monday, June
21, 7-9 pm)
In the Works is a forum for dancers and choreographers to test
works-in-progress before an audience of Festival attendees in
an informal, low or no-tech setting. Each work shown is followed
by a facilitated Critical ResponseSM session. Choreographers
are encouraged to participate in these sessions to receive peer
and audience reaction to their work. Only two to three works
will be selected for this program on a first come, first served
basis. Critical Response: A Method for Getting Useful Feedback
on Anything You Make, from Dance to Dessert is now a paperback
book co-authored by choreographer Liz Lerman, who developed
the process, and John Borstel, Humanities Director for Liz Lerman
Dance Exchange. The book will be available for purchase at the
Festival or by contacting John Borstel at

score above the determined cut-off point are selected for performance.
Works will be programmed under the category submitted unless
the panel feels the work would be better suited for a different
program.
