LOCATION
The Festival is held in South Florida, in the enchanting, exotic and
sun-drenched cities of Miami and Miami Beach. South Florida’s rich
blend of cultures and tropical setting make it an ideal discovery
vacation destination. In addition to classes and performances, South
Florida's bustling urban setting offers Festival participants a multitude
of shops, galleries, sidewalk cafés and restaurants, theaters
and colorful nightlife to explore and enjoy. We encourage you to bring
family and friends along to enjoy our sun, sand, warm Atlantic Ocean
and the many attractions that help make South Florida one of the most
exciting places to explore.
Though we know you'll want to be in classes most of
the time, we hope you will also take time to experience the famous
Viscaya Museum and Gardens, the Museum of Science and Space Planetarium,
Sea World, Miami Art Museum, Fairchild Tropical Gardens, the steamy
Florida Everglades and more. Visit to discover
more of what we have to offer.
FACILITIES
Festival classes and workshops are held in state-of-the-art dance
studios and classrooms at New World School of the Arts, 25 NE 2nd
Street, in downtown Miami. The school is a short walk from the recommended
downtown hotel. Evening performances are held in venues in both Miami
and Miami Beach. Transportation is provided to Miami Beach events.

information and reservations. Taxi service is also available from
both airports. From Miami International Airport (MIA) taxi fare to
downtown Miami is approximately $20-$25, and $25-$30 to Miami Beach.
Taxi fare will be considerably more expensive from the Fort Lauderdale
airport.
The city is also
accessible through the major bus companies and by Amtrak train, which
connects to Miami's MetroRail and PeopleMover systems with stops within
one-block of New World School of the Arts and the Marriott Courtyard
Hotel.

help reduce the cost. The Marriott Courtyard allows up to four people
in a shared room; the Indian Creek Hotel allows a maximum of two people

little as $17-$20 per person, per night including tax.
ROOMMATE
REGISTRY
The Roommate Registry is a list of individuals traveling to the Festival
alone who wish to share a room to make housing costs more affordable.
Upon adding your name to the Registry you will receive a list of potential
roommates who match your selected criteria (female, male, smoker,
non-smoker, etc.). Inclusion on the Registry does not guarantee a
roommate and all arrangements are made between the individuals sharing
the room(s). To be added to the Registry, select the option on the
registration form, call us at
MEALS
All meals are at the participant’s expense. Festival hotels do not
offer refrigerators or cooking facilities. Each Festival hotel offers
different options for on-site restaurants or cafes. We recommend you
check with the hotel when you make your reservation. The downtown
Miami area offers a number of fast food and full-service restaurants,
and nearby South Beach, Coral Gables and Coconut Grove offer a myriad
of restaurant choices with a wide array of cuisines from extremely
reasonable to very expensive. A list of local restaurants will be
provided in your registration materials.
